Allison and Blake - an afternoon at the San Diego waterfront
What better way to know whether or not we have happy clients than to get referrals from them. As you know, we loved shooting Karina and Travis' wedding - so we were thrilled when we heard that Karina's mom, Nanette, had referred us to her coworker and friend, Allison. Allison and I hit it off immediately on the phone, and then in person at the Bridal Bazaar. I can already tell that we are going to LOVE working with Allison and Blake!
When Allison mentioned she might like to take some photos I at the Santa Fe train station downtown I was super excited because, with all the colorful tile work and art deco architecture, I've wanted to photograph a couple for some time now and just haven't had the opportunity. That said - we learned that the security at the station would prefer that we weren't there. They were nice enough, but made it clear that we only would be given a few minutes on the property and that we needed to stay out of the way of travelers. Fair enough. We were quick, and were able to get some fun images in and around the building.
Next stop: Seaport Village!
So much fun! I can hardly wait for the big day!! :-)

Ashley and Stephen - married at the Bernardo Winery
Both of them grew up in China, but they didn't meet until three days after Ashley arrived in the states, when she was just starting at Purdue University. He helped her move in, and they almost immediately started seeing each other. But this new love was very quickly put to the test when only months later Stephen was offered a job on the west coast and their brand new relationship turned into a long distance one.
Many long phone calls and short visits later, Ashley was finally able to join Stephen in San Diego and the two were married. When it came time for both of their parents to visit, they decided to have a wedding celebration with their families, who had never even met their new spouses! We were so excited to be there for this exciting and beautiful time with all of them.
After we took some photos of Ashley and Stephen with their friends and family, Ashley made a quick change for the reception. Gorgeous!!
