Janelle and Donovan were married at the Steele Canyon Golf Club in Jamul, California. These two were so in love and so much fun to photograph. We really had a great time.

Nicole and Sean - teasers
Here are just a few shots from last weekend's wedding at the San Diego Basilica Mission. Beautiful people, beautiful setting, and a whole lot of fun - I can hardly wait to show you more!

San Diego Basilica Mission
Next weekend we'll be shooting Nicole and Sean's wedding at the San Diego Mission. What a beautiful venue - I can hardly wait!
Yesterday we headed down to get the lay of the land and I took a few shots while we were there.

The Midway - San Diego, CA
While they were here, we toured the Midway. Very cool! I didn't bring my camera, but I borrowed Dick's to get proof that they were there.
Dick also took some great macro shots around the ship. I pulled together my personal favorites in another collage.

Visit from the folks
Dick's parents, Tim and Teresa, visited us for a week from Oklahoma. What a great way to spend a week off work - just relaxing and catching up with family.
While they were here, Teresa taught Dick how to make fried chicken. Yum!

Baby Zoey
I took a couple informal shots of Shannen and Chris' new arrival when I visited the other day. We still need to do an actual family portrait session.
What an angel!

Bridal Barbie
The other day, when I first posted photos of Barbie, I think I mentioned that I had pulled the doll out of storage because I remembered that my grandmother Bobbie had made clothes for her. Since then, I cleaned the dress and bought some accessories. My plan was to do a realistic-looking bridal photo shoot using the doll.
I still need to get some jewelry and replace the plastic tiara, but it's getting there. Here are a few photos I took the other day - check out the intricate crochet work my grandma did on the dress.

Dede's dressing table
Amy and Jeremy were moving to a new place and weren't going to be able to fit this dressing table, which Dede once used. I wasn't sure where I'd put it, but I figured I'd find room since I always liked it. I decided to put it by the front door at least for now.
Mugen checks out the new piece of furniture.
Here it is, accessorized.
In it's place next to the front door.
I think I like it here.

Dolls!
The other day I stumbled across Aimee Ray's littledear Etsy site and was inspired by photos of her adorable hand made clothes for Blythe dolls. I didn't even know what Blythe dolls were, but I really liked the images and immediately thought of the doll clothes my grandmother had made for me when I was little. While I don't intend to make and sell doll clothes, I really love emphasizing bright colors in photography. So this morning, while visiting my folks, my mother and I dug into the hope chest and found the 1970's Barbie.
Above are shots taken before and after de-tangling her sticky hair. I have to admit, I had a lot of fun reliving my childhood today.
Here are a few more Barbie images. She's always been so versitile, that Barbie.
More exciting - we also found the Miss Revlon dolls that my mom played with in the 1950's. Sadly, I had pretty much destroyed them by writing on them and cutting up their clothes as a child. But even with all of the wear and tear, I really liked the way they photographed today. Now I'm thinking I might try to restore them (not for resale, just for photographs) and replace some of the clothes and accessories.
