Dad's cousin Dave and his beautiful bride Kathy were married at the site of their future home in Tacoma, WA. Dave asked Dad if he could shoot the wedding, but because he was tied up with the Bridal Bazaar that weekend, Dick and I went instead. We were honored to be able to be part of their day.
What a gorgeous couple and amazing setting! Here are just a few teasers. Thanks to Dave and Kathy for being so patient.
Usually I limit my blog photos to only shots I took myself, but I loved this shot of Kathy through the french doors so much that I couldn't resist sharing it, even though it's Dick's. Nice capture!
I added some antiquing to both of these first two - I just really like the warmth.
LOVE the shoes!!
Here they are in front of their new home.
The Greek Goddess! She's just lovely isn't she.

Washington DC Promotion and Reunion
My brother Jim and I went to Washington DC to witness the promotion of our good friend Rich to Lt Colonel at the Pentagon. The trip turned into an a amazing reunion and sight-seeing trip that I'll never forget. Here are a few of my favorite shots of our day walking around DC.
WWII Memorial
a WWII veteran, making sure all visiting veterans are registered
Jim and the Washington Monument
Cormac and the Lincoln Memorial
Thanks Caren for taking this shot of Jim and me
Ellie and Caren at the Korean War Veterans Memorial
Taking a break in front of the Jefferson Memorial
Next we visited the Marine Corps Warm Memorial (a.k.a. Iwo Jima Memorial). I had no idea how large it was - so I made sure to include Doug and Jim in the shot for scale.
What a beautiful sight to see as the sun sets. It reminds me that I really am proud to be an American.
I don't know how else to put it. If you have never visited Washington DC, make it a point to go!
