spring weekend in New York

Once again, Dick and I enjoyed a fantastic trip with our friends, Mike and Christina.  This time we spent a long weekend in New York.  Lots of walking and some amazing food made for a delicious and much needed break from the normal routine.  Mike and Christina are the best travel companions you could ask for - we all get along great, and the two of them always do a ton of research on the best places to go.

The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and all of us enjoyed the opportunity to photograph the contrast of nature and grit that makes springtime in New York such a beautiful place to be.

Ever since I knew there was an installation of this LOVE sculpture in New York (based on Robert Indiana's original design in 1958) I've wanted to see it.  Turns out it was only a few blocks from the hotel.

My first time seeing Grand Central Station (aside from the movies)
