'Happy Everything!' family photos in Poway

I photographed Alex, Jeremy and little Zoe for the first time back in 2011 and was so excited to, once again, capture the giggles and smiles of this beautiful family.  We started off at the house - where we captured some fun photos in a comfortable setting.

Zoe was kind enough to include me in her lovely tea party.

We had a really nice visit and catch-up while we enjoyed a delicious lunch that Alex prepared for us.  Then we trekked over to Old Poway Park for some more photos.  Wow - was this place packed full of families and photographers!  And on a Monday!  But I digress...  As you'll see, the setting is beautiful, so it's really no big surprise we weren't the only ones there.

Is it really possible to get more attractive with age?  Beautiful you two!

Family photos at Santee Lakes

We've had the pleasure of taking my friend (and amazing stylist) Shannen's family photos for the last few years.  Last year we enjoyed a wintery stroll through Balboa Park and this year, we splashed around in the rain at Santee Lakes!  The weather may not have been what most think of as ideal photograph weather, but I really love how these turned out.  Besides, this happy family can brighten up any photo!  :-)

a walk in the woods: unique maternity photos

If you know me - if you've been through my favorite photos - or if you've been to my home to see the art hanging on the walls - then you are aware of what a huge fan I am of my beautiful cousin Amy.  She is the most creative, artful person I know and few things make me happier than having the opportunity to photograph her.

We took some of my favorite, and most unique, maternity photos when she was expecting Rylan in late 2009.  And now that she and Madison are expecting a baby girl, we've created some of my new favorite maternity images.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
